Digital Textbooks: Yes or No?
College textbook prices are 812 percent higher than they were a little more than three decades ago and college textbook prices have increased faster than tuition, health care costs and housing prices. That being said, it makes sense that more college textbooks should be online because digital textbooks are cheaper or free, right? Wrong. While it may sound like a good idea, having textbooks all online is a bad idea. First, students do not want their textbooks online. In spite of the attention paid to online sales of books and course materials, in a 2008 Student Watch™ report, students reported purchasing only 24% of their required course materials online, either through the college store’s site or another retailer. Secondly, providing online textbooks pulls students away from the course and required reading. Students are more likely to read their textbooks when they have the material in their hands, instead of in a computer where Facebook or Twitter is distracting them. Finally, not every student is going to have access to the online textbook. Laptops are expensive and computer access can be difficult to find in a college library, where the computers are constantly being used. Having a printed version of the textbook provides convenience for the student. A student can do homework wherever he wants and is not restricted to sitting in front of a computer to do homework or required reading. In conclusion, textbook prices may be skyrocketing, but keeping college textbooks non-digital will benefit students.

I really want there to be like a proper bad guy movie. Like where the bad guy wins but not like megamind where he turns all soft but one where the hero dies or something and the bad guy actually takes over the world and enslaves the human race or whatever their plan is and nothing else
